Account & Registration
How do I create an account?
Click Register in the top-right corner of any page. Enter your display name, email address, and a strong password. You'll receive a verification email — click the link inside to activate your account and start posting.
Is FxRoy free to join?
Yes, FxRoy is completely free. Registering gives you full access to the forum, economic calendar, market data, news, private messaging, and your member profile. There are no paid tiers or premium membership fees.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Click Login, then "Forgot password?" below the password field. Enter your registered email address and we'll send a password reset link. The link expires after 60 minutes. If you don't see the email, check your spam/junk folder.
How do I change my email address or username?
Go to your profile settings (click your avatar in the top-right → Settings). You can update your display name, email, password, avatar, bio, country, and notification preferences from there.
Can I have more than one account?
No. Each person is permitted one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a ban, inflate post counts, or manipulate community features is a violation of our Terms of Service and will result in all accounts being permanently banned.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your profile settings and scroll to the Danger Zone section. Click "Delete my account" and confirm. Your personal data will be permanently purged within 30 days. Public forum posts will remain but will be anonymised as "Deleted User".
Why was my account suspended or banned?
Accounts are suspended or banned for violations of our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines — including spam, harassment, financial scams, or multiple account abuse. If you believe this was applied in error, email contact@fxroy.com to appeal.

How do I post a new thread?
Navigate to the forum category that matches your topic (e.g. Trading Discussion, Technical Analysis). Click "Post Thread" in the top-right of the category page. Give your thread a clear title, write your content using the rich text editor, and click Post Thread.
What categories does the forum have?
FxRoy's forum is organised into:

Can I edit or delete my posts?
Yes. Click the edit icon (✏️) on your post or thread to open the editor. You can edit your content at any time. Note: moderators can see edit history. To delete a post, use the delete option — deleted content is soft-removed and may be retained internally for 90 days per our Privacy Policy.
How do likes, bookmarks, and subscriptions work?
Likes: Click the ♥ on a post to show appreciation. Bookmarks: Save a thread for later by clicking the bookmark icon — access them from your profile. Subscriptions: Subscribe to a thread to receive email notifications when new replies are posted.
What is not allowed in the forum?
The following are prohibited and will be removed: spam, financial scams, unsolicited signal services, harassment or personal attacks, posting personal information of others (doxxing), illegal content, and off-topic posts. See our full Terms of Service for details.
How do I report a post or user?
Click the flag/report icon on any post. Describe the issue briefly and our moderation team will review it within 24–48 hours. For urgent matters (threats, scams) email contact@fxroy.com directly.
How do private messages work?
Registered members can send private messages by visiting another member's profile and clicking Send Message, or via the Messages tab in the top navigation. Messages are only visible to the sender and recipient.
Economic Calendar
What is the Economic Calendar?
The FxRoy Economic Calendar shows scheduled global macroeconomic events — including central bank interest rate decisions, NFP reports, CPI inflation data, GDP releases, PMI surveys, and more. Each event shows the releasing country, impact level, consensus forecast, and previous result.
What do the impact colours mean?
Red flag — High impact: major market-moving events like NFP, FOMC rate decisions, or CPI. These can cause significant volatility.
Orange/Amber flag — Medium impact: notable but less volatile events like PMI or retail sales.
Grey flag — Low impact: minor data releases that rarely affect price significantly.

What do Actual, Forecast, and Previous mean?
Forecast — The consensus expectation from economists before the release.
Previous — The result from the prior reporting period.
Actual — The number released by the reporting agency. When Actual beats Forecast it appears in green; when it misses, it appears in red.

How often is the calendar updated?
The calendar syncs with our data provider every 30 minutes. Upcoming events are shown with forecast and previous data. Actual values are populated as soon as they're reported. Data for the current week and next week is available.
Why are some events missing actuals?
If an event is in the future, its Actual column will be blank — the data simply hasn't been released yet. For past events, actuals are backfilled automatically as our sync detects new releases. Occasionally minor delays of up to 30 minutes may occur.
Can I filter by currency or impact?
Yes. Use the currency and impact filter controls at the top of the Economic Calendar page to narrow events by currency pair (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, etc.) or impact level (high, medium, low).
Market Data & Rates
Where does the market data come from?
FxRoy displays live and near-live forex rates sourced from third-party financial data providers. Rates cover 30+ major, minor, and exotic currency pairs. Data is refreshed continuously during market hours.
Are the rates accurate for live trading?
Market rates on FxRoy are indicative prices for informational purposes only — not executable quotes. Do not use them as a basis for placing trades. Always use your broker's actual live rates for trading decisions. Spreads and prices vary between brokers.
Is the market data delayed?
Most rates are near-real-time (under 1 minute delay). Some exotic pairs or data from specific regional markets may have slightly longer delays depending on the data provider. A timestamp is shown alongside each rate.
What currency pairs are covered?
FxRoy covers all major pairs (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, USD/CHF, AUD/USD, USD/CAD, NZD/USD), all major crosses, and a selection of exotic pairs. Cryptocurrency pairs are not currently covered.
Is the forex news on FxRoy official?
News articles on FxRoy are aggregated from financial media sources and are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial advice or trading recommendations. Always verify news from authoritative sources before acting.
Privacy & Safety
Does FxRoy sell my personal data?
No. FxRoy does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We share limited data only with essential service providers (hosting, email delivery) under strict data processing agreements. Read our full Privacy Policy.
What data does FxRoy collect about me?
We collect: your registration details (name, email, hashed password), optional profile information (avatar, bio, country), your forum posts and activity, private messages, and standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited). See the Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I request deletion of my data?
You can delete your account from your profile settings, which triggers a full data purge within 30 days. Alternatively, email contact@fxroy.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and we'll process it within 30 days.
Are my private messages secure?
Private messages are only accessible to the sender and recipient. They are stored securely in our database and are never shared with third parties. Moderators may access messages only in exceptional circumstances where serious platform abuse is suspected.
Does FxRoy use cookies?
Yes, we use essential cookies (session management, CSRF security) and optional cookies (preferences, analytics). Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for login to work. You can manage analytics and advertising cookies via your browser privacy settings.
I've been harassed by another member. What should I do?
Do not respond. Use the report flag on their posts, block them from your profile settings if available, and email contact@fxroy.com with details. Include screenshots where possible. We treat harassment seriously and will take swift action.
General
Is FxRoy a broker or financial service?
No. FxRoy is purely an information and community platform for forex traders. We are not a broker, financial advisor, signal service, or investment manager. We do not hold, manage, or have access to your trading accounts or funds. Always use a regulated broker for trading.
How do I advertise on FxRoy?
We offer banner, sidebar, and sponsored thread placements targeting active forex traders. Contact us at contact@fxroy.com with the subject "Advertising Enquiry" and include your target audience, budget, and preferred ad format. We respond within 2–5 business days.
Can I suggest a new feature or improvement?
Absolutely. Post your idea in the forum's Site Feedback category (if available) or email contact@fxroy.com with your suggestion. We read all feedback and it directly influences our development roadmap.
Is FxRoy available in languages other than English?
FxRoy's interface and main forum categories are in English. However, members from any country are welcome, and some regional sub-categories may support other languages. The economic calendar covers events from all major global economies.
